Ploom #034
But No Ladies
Annie Sturgeon
Long slim legs
in pink stockings;
but no ladies —
webbed-footed fishwives
down by the docks
arms a-flap.
Screeching, ‘queue, queue, queue!’
But none of them do.
Scavenging, squabbling,
pilfering, plundering,
raucous;
glaucous.
Chips with everything.
